A Little Mix Advice

Yo, low-level mix/production tactical advice here.

When using one-shot drum samples…


PLEASE TURN THEM THE FUCK DOWN. 


THEY CUT JUST FINE.  


MAKING THE SNARE LOUDER THAN GOD IS LIKE ME TYPING IN ALL CAPS RIGHT NOW.  


Not only is this exhausting to listen to, but it forces the vocal to be louder than it needs to be in order to be the focus of the song.  It throws your mix balances off.  


Tuck those one-shots in.  It will be okay, I promise.
